A new season has sprung and despite all that is happening in other parts of the world one thing remains constant, as a charity we continue to give as much support as we can to our local hospital, which in turn is helping so many people.
As the days grow longer our Fundraising Committee have planned some marvellous outdoor events (see ‘diary of events’ for details), including an array of coff ee mornings and garden parties. Last year they raised £17,000, an incredible achievement especially considering the circumstances. The money was used for the purchase of ten ambulatory syringe pumps and Lifecard ECG recorders for the Cardio Unit. All four Friends shops are now open and it is wonderful to see the return of familiar faces as well as welcoming new ones.
