This year’s annual League of Friends Christmas Draw took place at Theatre Severn with the winning tickets being drawn by the lead characters in this year’s pantomime Mother Goose.
Richard Lawn, Executive Chairman of the Friends said, “The League of Friends Christmas Raffle has become something of a tradition, but one that continues to bring good tidings to the patients of the RSH and SATH. Since spending £1m on the MRI scanner we have continued buying much more needed equipment, another £300,000 in the last 9 months, so we hope the traditional generosity of people buying our Raffle tickets will continue!”
Susan Hurdiss, Organising Secretary for the LoF expressed her huge thanks to everyone who supported our Draw and in helping to raise extra funds for the purchase of vital hospital equipment, all which helps to improve patient care and save more lives. We are very lucky to receive the continued support from so many kind and generous people of Shropshire & Mid-Wales”.
“This year’s pantomime Mother Goose is written by Telford-born Paul Hendy and produced by Evolution, the hugely successful creative team behind pantomimes at Theatre Severn since 2011. Over the past 7 years Theatre Severn have been proud to support the League of Friends Christmas Draw and all the hard work they put in to fundraising for the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital”
