Shrewsbury Lawn & Town Walls Tennis clubs.
The League of Friends are holding their annual Ladies Doubles Tennis Tournament this year on Thursday 7th September 2023
We are keeping the same format, as it generally seems to work well and gives everyone an equal amount of games and also opportunities to win a bottle of wine!
For those who haven’t played before or have forgotten, everyone will be drawn to go into groups of 4/5 couples and play a round robin of 5/7 games per match. For the 2nd round, the winners of each group will be put into a new group, 2nd place couples together, 3rd place couples etc. and again play a round robin. Prizes for winners of all the 2nd Round Groups.
Once we have exhausted you on the Tennis court the lunch will be served by the Main Clubhouse at Shrewsbury Lawn Tennis Club in hopefully glorious sunshine.
Coffee & homemade biscuits will be served at Town Walls from 9.30am when you are sitting out between rounds.
There is plenty of parking available both at SLTC and Town Walls Tennis Clubs but please avoid parking in the designated Bowling Club spaces.
