Please find details attached of our forthcoming event on the evening of Friday 31st March with guest speaker Lt Commander Victoria Graham. Victoria was a Lt Commander in the Queen Alexandra’s Royal Naval Nursing Service. She will talk about her tour as a nurse at the British Army’s base at Camp Bastion in Afghanistan; the camp conditions, defending themselves from Taliban attacks and treating injured British military personnel and Afghan civilians. Her talk is titled “The Biscuit Club” in which she is both inspirational and entertaining in the way she describes how they developed ways of coping with the intense pressures of their daily life.
