In March 2017 you kindly provided the funds to purchase two new ultrasound scanners for our Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening Service.
We thoroughly appreciate your generosity and as such wanted to let you know some of the outcomes of this service.
Since we received the scanner we have used them to screen 9550 patients. We have detected 98 Aneurysms and have continues to monitor patients whose aneurysms have not yet reached threshold. 17 men have been referred and under gone successful life-saving surgery. All of which, could not have been done without your support.
Many thanks for all your hard work and support during such a difficult year, you have adapted your services to support us and have continued to be an inspiration.
