Four lucky winners were drawn by the Friends newly appointed Chairman’s, Executive Chair Richard Lawn; Chair of Fundraising Kate Hazan and Shops Chair Tina Jordan.
Richard Lawn said “It is an honour and a challenge to follow former Chairman Ray Smith, especially after the successes of our 60th Anniversary and most importantly after our biggest ever purchase, the £1m MRI scanner which is already doing so much for the patients of the RSH.
We didn’t stop there though, our coffee shops at RSH continue to provide good value and a kind word whilst also raising record amounts for the hospital – over the last six months we have bought a further £231,934 of much needed equipment since the purchase of the MRI scanner – and our fundraising efforts go from strength to strength. With Tina and Kate taking over chair of those two areas, and the support of all our staff and volunteers, I am sure we can continue the League’s commitment to supporting the hospital and all who use it. ”
Organising Secretary Sue Hurdiss said “We are , as ever, extremely grateful to the marvellous people of Shropshire and Mid-Wales for their generosity and unstinting support”
